Children's Services

Our Services

Your child or adolescent’s successful recovery from a mental/ behavioral health condition requires support from the entire family. Services at our clinics start with a Treatment Consultation Visit with one of our mental health professionals.

Treatment Consultation Visit

• Review current concerns and past mental health evaluation and treatment history.
• Get helpful information and handouts on “what to do now.”
• Sign release of information forms so records can be gathered before the next visit.
• Complete behavioral questionnaires to help gather more information about your child or adolescent, symptoms, and difficulties with functioning at home and at school.
• Create a plan and schedule appointments for ongoing evaluation or treatment at the end of the visit.
• 1 visit lasting 45 to 50 minutes.

We offer a range of services described below for children and adolescents and their families.

Diagnostic Evaluation

• Many children have a complex set of symptoms and the best course of treatment is not clear at first.
• A full diagnostic evaluation can clarify why a child is having emotional or behavioral problems, and how a mental health or medical professional can be helpful.
• Normal length of evaluation is 2 to 3 visits.
Second Opinion Evaluation
• Some children have already been evaluated but still have questions about their mental health needs and best treatment options.
• A second opinion evaluation, by one of our expert providers, aims to clarify diagnosis and treatment options that may be helpful for families.
• Many children and adolescents continue with their current providers after a Second Opinion Evaluation or find care in their communities.
• Normal length of Second Opinion Evaluation is 2 to 3 visits.im veniam, quis nostrud exercitation ullamco laboris nisi ut aliquip ex ea commodo.
Individual Treatment
  • •Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) teaches children and adolescents to better understand and manage their thoughts, feelings and actions.
• CBT includes a strong education component.
• This type of therapy is most helpful for depression, anxiety and trauma.
• CBT works best for children ages 9 and older.
• Individual treatment can involve parents and other family members when the focus of treatment is on problem-solving, communication, and effective parenting strategies.
• Normal length of treatment is 12 to 24 visits.

Parent Training

• Parent training can be offered to parents alone or parents and children together.
• This treatment can be helpful for any type of behavioral problem, but works best for ADHD, disruptive behavior disorders, and anxiety.
• Parent training is often the primary type of treatment used with 2 to 8 year olds, but can be used with children of any age.
• Normal length of treatment is 8 to 12 visits.o consequat. Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipisicing elit.
